Les tres riches heures du Duc de Berry, or the three best hours of the Duke of Berry. The picture was painted sometime between the years 1413, when it was commissioned, and 1416, when the authors, the Limbourg brothers, left it unfinished upon their death, probably from an epidemic. The book of hours from which this image is taken can be found on the web, just type in the title of the painting into the search box.
Henri de Tolouse-Lautrec grew up as a sickly, aristocratic child. He lived in Mormartre, a neighborhood of Paris where many famous artists of the late 19th and early 20th century lived.
L'Apocalypse Tapisserie: This tapestry is found at the Chateu d'Angers. The image shown here is a small section from the wall-sized tapestry. Selections for the complete tapestry are on the web.
La Catedrale de Sens: This cathedral was founded in 1163, and this stamp commemorated its 8th centenary.
Raoul Dufy: One of the Fauvists, was heavily influenced by the Impressionists.
