Article 114: Merson 50 Centimes
This is the most common Merson type. It received heavy postal usage between 1900 until right before the inflationary period in late 1923. There are at least a half dozen distinct printings. Below is a selection of dated Merson 50 centimes stamps. The top specimen is dated July 28, 1902. Notice the clear printing of the design. The specimen at the bottom of the page is dated 1921.
