Article 97: United States O'Neill 1 Dollar

Here are pairs from the purple Issues (at various stages of plate wear and minor paper variations). The first group of three pairs shows three distinct colors. The top pair is almost a red purple issue, and shows significant plate wear. The middle pair is a blue purple that is most common for this issue. The third pair is a slightly reddish purple. This stamp received heavy usage from the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s.
