Article 8: The Mexico Exporta Chase Correspondence
This correspondence consists of 437 covers from various banks in India to the Wells Fargo Bank in New York mailed during 1981 and 1982. I focus on the definitives that are used most in this correspondence.
The 1 Yuan value of this series is one of the more commonly used values. This web site contains a section showing the most commonly used China Architecture definitives.definitives.
The Mexico Exporta series has a very large number of issues (approximately 100), and of varieties (in the neighborhood of 500). Here are a few of the issues in a bank correspondence to Miami. The article includes web pages dedicated to the 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000 pesos values. I have dedicated a section of this web site to this fascinating series.

In this article I review examples of the India 2 Rupees Textiles definitives from the Wells Fargo correspondence. I have also included a main page for the postal rates, as well as dedicated pages for usages of one and two, three and four, and six and seven of these stamps on the same cover.

Independent Kenya has a great history of definitives that are as beautiful as commemoratives. This stamp is found on registered covers. This article offers a brief look at some postmarks from kiloware.
I show details of printings that are representative for this issue. I also include a page of usages of the 2 Yuan with other architecture definitives, and a page with uses with commemoratives.
These specimens are from the 1992 printing. Below each image is a link to a page with examples of postmarks on piece, and some covers. Included are pages with specimens of the 1 pound, 1.50 pounds, 2 pounds, 3 pounds, and 5 pounds.
These high value definitives are very beautiful.
This stamp received wide use during the 1990's. I focus on color varieties of this high value definitive.

These high values are sometimes found on large format covers to American universities. I also include here a page dedicated to the 2 yuan, and another page to the other three values (the 5 yuan, 10 yuan, and 20 yuan values).

The Jefferson Memorial is depicted on this Priority Mail U.S.A. high value. There are values dated 2002, and 2003, both shown here. The 2003 printing is a little fuzzier. I also include a page dedicated to design details, as well as a page with postmarks and cancellers.
Bhutan is one of the quintessential "only for collectors" stamp issuing countries. These 3-D (three-dimensional) stamps are beautiful, outrageous!

Bhutan was a trailblazer in the design of stamps with pure collector appeal that were really not intended for normal postal use. I have been lucky to acquire a collector cover with this series. Here is a range of specimens. The control on color, perforation, and paper manufacture for this issue is, to the delight of specialists, poor. Besides the main page, I include a page with two blocks of four, and a page with vertical strips.
I show a page with the eight values from this issue. The 3D issues of Bhutan are the quintesential stamps for collectors. These stamps are at the opposite extreme of the high volume utilitarian definitive.

I have come across a great selection of USA late 1970s and early 1980s kiloware. The clippings are from what may have been mailings of important documents. Most of the rates seem to be in the $1.50 to $2.50 range. I show here a selection of these with the predominant stamp being either the 1c Thomas Jefferson, or the 13c Americana. There were several printings of this stamp. I show here examples from some of the printings, as well as details from one of the stamps showing a plate variety. There are three major groups: the gray black printings, the slightly doubled gray printing, and the black printing. Because of the changes brought about by inflation, this stamp was used as a low value and as a high value.

In this first selection, I show usages of the 200 c Leucodon Cowrie Sea Shell. I show major color variations of the stamp, a selection of several postmarks, two covers (arbitrarily numbered 4 and 8), a selection from a cover with a missperfed vertical pair, and covers and selections from covers for four cities: Accra (the capital), Kaneshie, Kotokuraba, and Swedru.

Article 97: United States O'Neill 1 Dollar
This stamp received heavy usage from the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s. The Mexico Exporta Definitives are a collector's dream. The stamps are beautiful, and were printed in an array of designs, papers, tagging, colors, and perforations. There is a comprehensive listing of these stamps at the etiangui site. Covers of this issue are hard to come by. I break down this issue into four major installments, and have finally gotten around to adding pages for each of the four major groups (which are broken down into a dozen or so issues by specialists more well informed than I am), and below I also have links to pages for each design.
