The Definitive Postage Stamps of Argentina 1935-51

The Argentinean definitives of 1935-51 is undoubtedly one of the most interesting definitive series to date. To date, I have: a 30-frame exhibit, a wide range of varieties for the 1/2c with the first watermark, a complete listing of the 2 Pesos covers, a complete listing of the 5 Pesos covers, and many high value covers in the Continental Grain Correspondence. There are close to one hundred distinct values, a number that grows to several hundred when printing varieties are included (a link indicates that I have completed a section).

• A fairly complete listing of all the major values by group:
• The small format, low usage “cents” values: ½ c, 1c, 2c, 2 ½ c, 3c Moreno, 3c San Martin, 4c, 6c, 8c, and 12c.
• Postal History of the cents issues: ( "cents" covers-exhibition, collector, and regular) Provincial Capitals.
• The most common small format “cents” values: 5c, 10c Red, and 10c Brown
• The “small cow” values: 15c, and 20c
• The “Guemes” values: 15c, and 20c
• The large format “cents” values: 20c (discussed in Article 5), 25c, 30c, 40c, and 50c
• The large format “pesos” values: 1pL (with map boundaries), 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, and 20p.
• Postmarks: Buenos Aires(Numeral, Agencia, Ambulante, Brigada, Other) and more...

The Modern Definitives of India

The appeal of the India modern definitives is not surprising for those who are interested in studying a series that is used by over 1 billion people. The very large number of postmarks, the beautiful and utilitarian designs, and the gargantuan printings make for great specialized collecting. The values I am currently studying are:
