"cents" Cover to England March 1938

This cover was mailed to England approximately one month after Nazi Germany annexed Austria, and before the censorship that accompanied the war after September 1939. The cover bears 22 1/2 centavos in postage. This is a 20 centavos single rate ship cover. The extra postage could be that the sender was disposing of small denomination stamps that were no longer useful, or because the cover is philatelic. Here are quick lines to pages for the three major groups: philatelic exhibition covers, covers that are quite likely philatelic, and covers that seem to represent regular use.
Below is a detail of the top row of stamps. The cover bears singles of the 05c1E, 1c1E, 2c1E, 3cGR1E, 4cGY1E, 5c1Et (typographed), and 6c1E. It is a complete run between these denominations at the time.
Below is a detail of the other stamps on this cover. The use of the 5c1Et, the typographed printing on the 1E paper, is consistent with the 1938 date.
