This cover was mailed to Germany using the Condor Airlines service. The cover represents a complete run of all Comunes issued in 1935 between 1/2 centavo and 12 centavos. The airmail rate for this date is 1.15 Pesos. The cover bears 1 Pesos and 13 1/2 centavos. The cover is short by 1 1/2 centavos. However, this cover appears to be missing one stamp to the right of the 50 centavos San Martin from the previous definitive issue. My guess is that the missing stamp is a 2 centavos San Martin. Here are quick lines to pages for the three major groups: philatelic exhibition covers, covers that are quite likely philatelic, and covers that seem to represent regular use. |

Below is a detail of the stamps on this cover. The cover bears singles of the 05c1E, 1c1E, 2c1E, 3cGR1E, 4cGY1E, 5c1E, 6c1E, 10cR1E, 12cBR1E, and 20cJMG1E. The combination usage with the 50 centavos San Martin is because the 50 centavos Comunes had yet to be issued. |
